Finally...Sunshine!

With temperatures dipping to -33 and weather that closed many highways...how nice it was to see the temperature climb to -10 degrees today!  Even nicer, was the appearance of Mr Sun!  Oh...how I have missed you!

We have been fortunate.  Our power stayed on, and our pipes did not freeze.  We were warm.  I watched the news and was horrified to see the damage that was caused by the ice storm, and the areas that were without power.  Can you imagine living in an apartment without any source of heat?

I took the pictures below two or three days apart.  You can see the amount of snow we received in a few short days!

I hope that you were safe and warm!  What temperatures did you get in your neck of the woods?

  1. I went out today for the first time in 4 days. It was bitter! -7C but it didn't take much of a breeze to make it feel much colder. Now I understand what people on facebook have been complaining about!

  5. It's was -23 c. this morning. It's -5 now at 7:00pm. We had about three feet of snow on the roof that we had to shovel when the rain started. We had electricity but the yard has been very slippery. I sprinkled some ice melter and sand . We are expecting freezing rain starting tomorrow and then rain.

Thans for leaving a comment on my blog.

    Hugs,
    JB

    1. Thank you for visiting, Bruce! So nice to "see" you!

We, too, are as snug as a bug, but yearning for spring, and sunny days. Time passes quickly, though, and I am certain it won't be long! In the meantime, we are grateful for a warm fire and a roof over our heads!

      Take care and "good painting!"
